Districts are able to customize the amount of time a a user's computer can remain idle before the system automatically logs them out of OnCourse. They default time at the system level is 24 hours. This can be overridden at the district or user level.
*A district level setting will override a system setting and a user level setting will override both district and system settings. The more specific the scope, the higher the priority.
- Click on the Gear Cog
- Choose User Management
- Select a User
- Add time in minutes to the User Idle Timeout field. Leave this field empty to choose the system default (24 hours)
Districts are able to view the district level User Idle Timeout setting in the system manager.
- Navigate to the System Manager
- Click directly on the name of the district
Here you will see the setting in minutes. If the field is empty, the timeout setting defaults to 24 hours. If you would like to edit the User Idle Timeout field. please contact OnCourse Support and provide them with the time in minutes.
