As a System Administrator, please follow this guide to assist you in
distributing lesson plan templates to your school and/or district.
Templates are created in a user's account then distributed via the System Manager tab. Click HERE to view a video or HERE to view a guide with the steps to create a lesson plan template.
1. Template Naming Conventions
Before you begin to distribute templates, it is recommended
that your district adopt a naming convention so that multiple
templates do not appear with the same name. OnCourse
recommends using your school's name, appropriate department
or grade information, and the school year. For example; "PS 118
- 6th Grade - 2013-2014".
This will help avoid confusion as more templates are distributed
throughout your school or district.
2. System Manager Tab
Navigate to your System Manager tab and expand the
navigation tree items are pictured below.
**NOTE: If you are a school Power Manager, you will still have
access to the "District" item. It is recommended that you
distribute templates at your school's level unless otherwise
notified. The steps in this guide can be performed by accessing
your school in the navigation tree instead of the "District" item.**
3. Locating a User
Expand the letter representing the last name of the user whose
template you wish to distribute. Expand that user to view their
templates. Click on a template to view that template's permissions.
4. Add Permissions
Click the "Add Permissions" icon. Click the green (+) icon next
to the groups you wish to have access to this template. You can
apply permissions based on district, school, or resource groups,
or individual users.
5. Remove Permissions
Once granted, you have to ability to remove permissions from
any group you choose. Simply click the red X icon next to that
particular group. You can Remove All permissions if you choose.
