Users with the proper permissions can now change which grading period set a class section tied to. Note that changes to grading period sets can have significant consequences, so permissions to do so should be strictly limited to a select group of users.
To change grading period sets:
- Navigate to the Class Manager and click the Sections tab
- Check the boxes for the classes for which you would like to change the grading periods
- Click the Change Grading Periods button
- In the new window, you will see the following message
- Danger Zone: There can be significant consequences if grading periods are not remapped properly. Please be certain of your changes before saving them.
- Use the dropdown to choose the New Grading Period
- In the bottom portion of the window, use the dropdowns to map the marking periods
- When you're finished, click Save
- You will see this message:
- Changes saved. Double-check them and then press process to finalize
- Once you are satisfied, click the Process button
- If the processing is complete properly, you will see this message
12. However, if the selected classes do NOT have the same Grading Period set, you
will see this error message:
If this happens, select OK, then simply reselect only classes with the same grading periods and repeat steps 3-8.
