When looking at a student's transcript tab, you will see either a lock icon or an edit icon to the left of each record. The lock icon
indicates that the record cannot be changed. The edit icon
allows the user to make changes to the record. You now have the ability to unlock a locked record. Doing so unlinks the record from the grade book. This is called decoupling. When this is done, the record will be treated like a manual record.


Decoupling a record allows users to make changes to a record and permanently severs the transcript record from the grade book record. Now, updates in the grade book will no longer flow to the transcript record.
Include a reason in the text box below the message, and click OK.
Once the record is decoupled, the lock icon changes to a pencil and ruler icon, indicating that the record can now be edited. Also,
