Access Codes in OnCourse Classroom
When students access an assessment in OnCourse Classroom, they simply log into OnCourse Connect using their OnCourse Connect user name and password. But now teachers have the option of distributing access codes to students. To do this, select the desired assessment, then choose the View Access Codes option from the Actions menu. Here you will see a the assessment code at the top and a list of unique access codes, one for each student, below.
With these access codes, students are able to get into assessments with a URL outside of their OnCourse Connect account. To do this, students will go to www.oncourseconnect.com/test. Here, they will enter the assessment code along with their unique access code. Doing so will take them directly to the test. Assessments look and function exactly as they do in OnCourse Classroom.
Organize Resources in OnCourse Classroom
Now teachers are able to create folders and organize their OnCourse Classroom resources. After accessing Classroom, click on the Classes & Groups tab and select a class. Next, click on Shared Resources. Check the box next to any folder and right click on it. Add subfolders, upload files, and move them wherever you'd like.
When students log into OnCourse Connect and click on their class, Class Resources will be visible in the middle. Students will see the folder structure that was created by their teacher.
View Rubric When Browsing Questions
You were always able to see rubrics, but now teachers can view rubrics prior to publishing assessments, while they're browsing item bank questions. To do this, select a question that has a rubric attached, then click the Show Rubric button. View the rubric in the new window and decide if it's what you're looking for.
