There's been a few minor changes to the look and functionality of Active Attendance:
- There's a new Missing Attendance option.
- Toggle between Filters and Missing Attendance screens.
- The Filter By section is now a drop down menu and includes a new Student filter.
- There's a new Hide Class Names (faster) option.
- The Attendance Code Legend has been removed.
Missing Attendance Option
Now it's easy to see a list of classes who've not taken attendance for the chosen day. From the Filters tab, choose a school and click the Get Attendance button. Next, choose the Missing Attendance tab. If your school is taking period-based attendance, select a period, then, choose a class from the list. Edit attendance values as needed.
You've always been able to filter by Class, Grade Level, and Group but now you can filter by Student as well. Just click on the Filters drop down menu and choose Student. Next, select a student from the Select Value menu. Then click on the Get Attendance button. Edit attendance values as needed.
Hide Class Names Option
Depending on the size of your school it may take some time for a query to return records. If you want to receive the information faster, you have the option of hiding class names. Now a query will return records more quickly, since class details will be omitted.
Just select the desired filters, check the Hide Class Name (faster) option, and select Get Attendance. Records are returned on the right.
