Sample Answer Field
We're making it easier than ever for teachers to grade constructed response items. Now, when creating the question, you can include a sample answer or rubric that is visible to teachers when grading an assessment.
All you have to do is create an open-ended question in either OnCourse Classroom or Assessment. Then scroll down to the More Options section. Locate the Sample Answer field, paste the sample answer or rubric, and Save.
When it's time to grade the assessment, the teacher will see the sample answer or rubric directly below each student's response, making grading easier for teachers.

Not Editable Assessment Questions
District Item Bank questions are editable UNTIL the question is used in an assessment where the assessment window is open AND at least one student has taken the test. Once this has happened, there will be a red "NOT EDITABLE" tag with a rollover description indicating that the question cannot be changed. The only way to edit the question is to first duplicate it, then make changes.
Questions can be built in the District Item Bank, then used (referenced) in an assessment. Changes made to item bank questions WILL be reflected in the corresponding assessment questions.
However, once the assessment window is open for the corresponding assessment AND at least one student has taken the test, referenced District Item Bank questions become "NOT EDITABLE". (refer to figure 1)
