Classroom Setting Required for SPED Course Type
When it comes time for state reporting, it's important that special education course are associated with a classroom setting. To help with this, we've added a fail-safe. Now, when creating or editing a course, if Special Education is selected for the Course Type field, the system will require that you choose a Classroom Setting prior to saving the course.
To access these fields, choose Class Manager from the Scheduling tab, click on the Course tab and open a course. In the Course Type field, if you select Special Education and try to Save, the system will alert you. This alert reminds you that you that a selection from the Classroom Setting field is required prior to saving.
*This feature is also available in the District Course Catalog application.
Promotion/Retention Code Dropdown Options
In the Exit Enrollment Record we've updated the Promotion/Retention Code field. We have taken away the checkbox and replaced it with a dropdown menu of promotion and retention codes. Simply choose the appropriate code from the list.
In a student record, click on the Enrollment tab. Select the green plus button to updated enrollment records. Choose an option from the Promotion/Retention Code field and Save.
