Students are able to take courses for credit at the high school as well as at the college level. You are currently able to tag a course as a dual enrollment course.
But what if you have 39 students in the same Algebra II section and one student is taking the class for dual enrollment while the rest are taking it as a regular class?
The good news is, we've devised a way for you to deal with a situation like this.
To begin, set the course up at the Course level and choose the appropriate Course Type. This setting applies to the 38 students taking Algebra II as a regular class.
To do this:
Open the Class Manager then click on Courses. Next, choose a course and select the Course Detail tab. Finally, click on the Course Type field and make your selection.
For the remaining student you need to override the value at the student level. Here you can set a course level, determine the number of credits, as well as the secondary school, if there is one.
To do this:
Open the Class Manager then click on Sections. Next, select the number of students in a particular class (the blue number located in the Students column). Then, click on the edit button for the student who is taking the class as dual enrollment. A new window will open. This is where you can override the course type, credits, and add a secondary site, if applicable.
**This only changes state reporting values.
