Previously, making a change to the attendance track calendar, when there was a snow day, for example, required changing each school's calendar separately. Now districts can make a change to one school's calendar, then apply the change to multiple schools.
To do this:
- Navigate to the System Manager and drill down to one of the school attendance track calendars via the following folder path:
- Schools > Choose the school > GradeBook Settings > School Options > Current school year > Attendance Tracks > Click directly on a school year folder
- The attendance track calendar will appear on the right.
- Choose a date on the calendar.
- Make the necessary changes in the Properties sidebar and save.
- Click on the Distribute button above the calendar.
- In the new window, check the box for the target schools.
- Check the Remove Existing Calendar Date box.
- Enter the start and end date. If you are distributing changes for a single day, enter the date as both the start and end date.
- Click the Distribute button.
This feature allows you to easily add and remove student and staff days and distribute the changes to schools within the district. However, note that if you are adding student days, rotation days will ONLY copy to target schools that have the SAME rotation day structure as the school from which you are copying.
