This guide will help you prepare to run your Special Education End of Year Report.
1. Organize Dashboard
When prepping for your report, the first thing you'll want to do is use your Dashboard to organize your students, especially your Speech-Only students.
From the drop down menu labeled "Group By:", select "Classification." Now you can see all of your Speech-only students in one group for easy access.
2. Check "Speech Only"
You will have to mark each of these students as "Speech Only".
1. Open each student profile from the dashboard.
2. Click the "Student Details" tab.
3. Check the box labeled "Referred for Speech Only."
3. SE Exit Fields
For any students that have exited the special education program, you will have to make sure they have exit dates and exit reasons recorded.
1. Open the student's profile.
2. Click their "Special Education" tab.
3. Click the "Student Details" tab.
4. Complete the "Special Education Exit Date" and "Special Education Exit Reason" fields.
5. Click on the student's "Enrollment" tab.
6. Create an exit record with a "T1" exit code, effective immediately.
7. Create a new entry record with an "R1" entry code. Label their Classification as "General Ed."
4. New Enrollment Records, If Necessary
If a child has exited the program, you will need to alter their
enrollment record.
1. Click their Enrollment tab.
2. Click the green (+) to add an Exit Record.
3. Select a T1 Exit Code, and match the effective date to the exit date you changed in the previous step.
4. Save.
5. Click the green (+) to add an Entry Record.
6. Select an R1 Entry Code and set the effective date to match the previous Exit Code.
7. Select the student's new classification.
8. Save.
5. Additional Notes
1. Students who were referred to CST multiple times during the school year only get counted once in part A of Table 1.
2. Special Ed students who were reevaluated during the school year, and declassified as a result of that reevaluation, only get counted once in part B of Table 1…as Returned to General Ed.
