Many schools and districts support students and families that speak
something other than English as a primary language. This guide will show you how to translate special education forms and letters into other languages for the benefit of those families.
**NOTE: Translations can alter the format of the letter/form. If the translated language has words longer than their English equivalents, expect to have to make some minor edits after translation.
1. Open Student Profile
To open a student's profile:
• Click on your "Special Education" tab to access the Dashboard.
• Double-click a student's name to open their profile.
2. Add Special Education Document
• In the bottom-half of the screen, click the "Documents" tab.
• Click the green (+) button labeled "Add."
• Select "Add Special Education Document."
• Select your desired template from the drop-down menu.
• Save your selection.
3. Translate Letter
• Fill in any dynamic fields in the letter, including dates, times, text fields, and check boxes
• Click the "Translate" icon at the bottom of the screen.
• Select your desired language.
• Save your selection.
• Use the blue tabs above the letter to toggle between English and your translated letter.
• You may print the translated letter as needed.
