What Is the Civil Rights Data Collection? Every two years since 1968, the Education Department has collected information on demographics and educational opportunities for students of different genders, races, English-proficiency levels, and disabilities. This data is used both for enforcement of federal civil rights laws and for research to improve education for these students.
The Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) report tracks Student Discipline and Offenses information. However before the report can be used by your district a few things need to be set up.
1
Access requires that a resource be turned on for select users. Navigate to the Discipline section of the Resource Manager and find the CRDC Report Access report resource. Once set up, the CRDC report can only be seen by users with District Wide Data Manager access.
2
Tie codes to the appropriate CRDC category. Navigate to the Discipline Code Manager section of the System Manager.
3
Choose either Discipline or Disposition Code Type.
4
These are the choices for Discipline (Incidents) code types.

Below is a web address to a CRDC resource center: https://crdc.grads360.org/#program In the first two sections you will find useful resources.
The staff that are completing the CRDC report should get familiar with the entire handbook in order to complete the CRDC report for the district. However to work with our report they will need to get familiar with Sections 7 Student Discipline (Dispositions) and Section 8 Student Offenses (Incidents).
7
The CRDC Handbook can be found in the first section. To access this document, open the Preparation Resource section. Then click on the Pre-Collection Tools drop-down menu. Finally, download the 2015-2016 CRDC All Schools Form.
8
The form you will use to submit CRDC information can be found in the second section. To access this document, open the Submission Resource section. Then click on the Submission Tools drop-down menu. Finally, download the Excel Data Collection Template Schools Form.

This page has not been updated and should provide screen shots of navigating through OnCourse to assist with CRDC reporting. Since OnCourse is a discipline system of record, a "report for this" should be provided by OnCourse during CRDC reporting years like it is in other systems.
